She attended Boston University School of Social Work and has worked in many settings.  When not busy with her family, work, or volunteering, Chaya enjoys pilates, knitting, sewing and many types of crafts. She enjoys reading and recently completed reading the National Jewish Book Award Winners in Fiction from 1949 to present.  Chaya is a mother to six adult daughters, triplets, twins, and a singleton. She is Bubbie to two adorable grandchildren.
